Positioned between the upcoming BMW i3 and the sporty BMW i8, the new sedan will be launched as a large, luxury, eco-friendly vehicle. BMW, on the other hand, is only testing new chassis that could be used in several future BMW models. The BMW i7 will likely have an extended-range hybrid drivetrain (which runs on electricity) or an all-electric powertrain.
