BMW iX3 is the first model to be equipped with BMW’s fifth generation electric drive system (eDrive), which integrates electric motor, electronic control, transmission and inverter into one, increasing power density by up to 30% compared with existing BMW pure electric models. For the first time, the car uses an exciting synchronous motor that does not use rare earth elements, reducing its dependence on scarce resources.
